Reasons networks are important

In all areas of organisational activity, achieving exceptional results
increasingly depends on effective networking between individuals.
Networking is the process that creates and maintains relationships based on trust, shared interests and objectives. It takes place at the interface between individuals working in diverse roles and often for diverse organisations. These interfaces are exciting areas for generating increased productivity and innovation from new ideas and knowledge.

Networking doesn’t just happen

Everyone has some capability to network and we can all recognise ‘natural’ networkers. However, relying on innate capabilities:

  • Limits the sustainability of networks that do exist
